Our Beginning:
LynnMark Gifts started in 2020 when my husband and I received some woodworking tools that belonged to my grandfather. That sparked ideas and all kinds of projects we were anxious to start creating.
We began with our keepsake boxes; inspired a version my mom had made for me many years ago. In the last few years we have worked to improve our methods and the artwork we include on our boxes.
We've made a few other home decor style items; and we started attending local craft shows with our products in 2023.
In the fall of 2023, we found out that our family was going to grow again. Our family of four, would soon become a family of five! With this news, we took a step back from our existing trajectory and decided to make a few changes to what LynnMark Gifts would be for us and our family.
LynnMark's Future:
Through the journey that LynnMark has taken in the last few years, my husband and I have both learned what we are passionate about. For my husband it is the realization that he is much more of a fixer that a creator. I love to create; and I've discovered that I possess more talent than I was previously aware of.
With our self-reflection discovery, my husband has decided focus on his career outside of LynnMark; while still crafting some items in his free time. I have decided to lean into expanding on my creating talents.
For LynnMark gifts, going forward, that means that I will be taking the helm. Knowing that I love art; in many forms, and with a multitude of mediums; my goal is to fine tune my skills and record my journey. My mom and my youngest son are also quite imaginative; and I will proudly display their work along side mine.
While being acutely aware that my progress may be slow, I am excited to continue at a speed that serves my life. My family will always come first. I'm sure you get it. 😉Even if we desire to keep up with the fast pace of our world, sometimes you have to keep it within a realm of reality for yourself. With that being said, I appreciate all those who will take an interest to check in once and a while and see where this adventure has taken me and my family.
